Welcome to Telehealth Solutions
Telehealth Solutions was founded in 2006 to bring the convergence of technology and changing clinical practice to the benefit of patients and clinicians. The Company has grown rapidly and now has 15 employees who are dedicated to providing the most secure, scalable and robust methods for collecting information from patients, without the need for clinical intervention, and getting that information into the hands of the clinicians and carers who are looking after those patients.
The Surgery Pod is a multi-user system that is generally situated in a controlled public place such as a surgery or pharmacy consulting room. The purposes of this application include:
  • Automated check-in to a surgery waiting room
  • Announcement to the patient when the clinician is available to be seen
  • Checking vital signs and getting answers to clinical questions prior to a clinical appointment and posting the data to the clinical record so that the information is already available to the clinician as the patient arrives in the consulting room
  • Collecting the information needed at the time a patient is accepted by a surgery for the first time
  • Providing the opportunity for patient feedback to the practice
  • Providing the ability to streamline the running of specific surgery days, such as for flu injections or for INR clinics
  • Providing the ability to have the patient provide vital signs before releasing repeat prescriptions
  • Allowing the patient to drop in at their own convenience to provide information without needing a clinical appointment
The Home Pod is a single user system that is generally used in a patient’s home.  As the Telehealth Solutions system communicates via a secure 3G method and is compact  and light, it can also be used to provide real independence by being able to work all over the world. The purposes of this application include:
  • Empowering patients, reducing anxiety and enabling the patient to participate more fully in their own care path
  • Improving hospital productivity through earlier discharge, without increasing visits to the GP surgery
  • Enabling proactive management of the patient’s care path to improve stability
  • Providing continuous feedback and analysis to enable changing physical or mental conditions to be communicated to the clinician before becoming a crisis
  • Proven reduction in admissions to hospital and to the GP surgery
  • Very friendly touch screen user interface for the patient, no issues over installation and minimum use of battery powered devices
  • Fully configurable patient management screens enabling the carer to make use of standard protocols and to tailor them to the individual needs of each patient
  • Multiple access to authorised carers and clinicians as the data is held on the web behind the N3 firewall
Telehealth Solutions offers these systems either for purchase or for a service fee. The hardware is all available off the shelf from first class manufacturers and is therefore scalable and of known quality. The footprint of both systems is small and looks good, which is important in their likely locations.
