Welcome to the world of Telehealth Solutions in the pharmacy. The CardioPod allows patients easy access to an NHS Health Check carried out by a trained professional, usually a pharmacist, who gives expert advice on their cardiovascular risk score. The risks are perfectly illustrated by a set of smiling and frowning faces and, the higher the amount of frowning faces the greater the risk posed. Once the results are known the pharmacist will advise the patient on what action they can take to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, type II diabetes and kidney disease. All this is done in little more than 20 minutes.
